Who We Are
Dexal provides a fully managed operations platform, sold as a self-serve monthly subscription. We operate remotely, serving clients nationwide. Our website is dexalai.com.
Information We Collect
We collect information you voluntarily provide: your name, email address, business type, and any message you send via our contact form or lead capture forms. When you purchase a plan, we also collect the workspace name you choose and your selected plan and add-ons. We do not collect or store your card number or other payment details directly — payment is handled by our payment processor (Stripe), which has its own privacy policy.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to process your purchase, provision and operate your workspace, respond to inquiries, provide services you've requested, send relevant account and billing communications, and improve our offerings. We do not sell your information to third parties.
Cookies & Analytics
We use PostHog, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how visitors use our website (which pages are viewed, which sections are read) and to measure whether our marketing is effective. Analytics identifiers are anonymous, randomly generated browser IDs — never your name, email, or other personal information — and no message or file content is ever collected. We do not use ad networks or social media trackers, and we do not sell analytics data to third parties.
Data Storage
Contact form submissions and lead information are stored securely in an encrypted database and retained for up to 2 years or until you request deletion. Order and workspace data (email, workspace name, plan, and billing status) is retained for the life of your subscription and for a reasonable period after cancellation for accounting and support purposes.
Third-Party Services
We use Stripe for subscription billing and payment processing, Resend for transactional email delivery, Calendly for scheduling, PostHog for website analytics, and Turso/Supabase for database storage. Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
The Dexal App
The Dexal app (Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android) is how you and your team access your workspace after you sign in. Account data (name, email, role) and the work content you create in it — messages, files, tasks, and, for organizations that enable it, credential records such as license or certification status — are stored in your organization's Dexal account and are only visible within your org, scoped by your role. Face ID, Touch ID, and fingerprint unlock are processed entirely on your device by the operating system; Dexal never receives or stores biometric data. The app can discover Dexal edge devices on your local network (Bonjour/mDNS) when that feature is enabled; this discovery data stays on your local network and is not sent to Dexal's servers. We do not sell app data, and we do not use it for advertising.
The Private AI Add-on
AI is off by default and only processes your organization's data if an admin enables it. When enabled, requests (such as a message you ask AI to draft, or a document you ask it to summarize) are sent to an isolated, tenant-scoped processing context reserved for your organization — never shared with other customers. This content is never used to train any AI model, ours or a third party's, and is not retained by the AI provider beyond what is needed to generate the response. Admins can see which modules have AI enabled and can disable it at any time; every AI action is logged in your organization's audit trail. Organizations on an Enterprise plan may instead run AI on infrastructure they control, under a separate agreement.
